Hi. I have a 2009 Chevy HHR LT with 2.2 engine. It shows a P0449 code for Evap Canister Solenoid fault. I disconnected the connector at the solenoid and applied 12v to the solenoid to test it. The solenoid clicked each time I applied the current. I would think this indicates that the solenoid is working and does not need replacement.To fix the automobile fault code P1174, start by checking the possible causes mentioned above.
